James Beach, MLA

James Beach joined the University of Florida College of Pharmacy in 2019 and serves as the Senior Program Director for Student Affairs at the Orlando campus. With a strong background in student development, James has spent his career creating impactful programs and guiding students through their academic and personal journeys.

He holds dual Bachelor of Arts degrees and a Master of Liberal Arts from Winthrop University, along with a certification in Higher Education Law and Policy from NASPA. Prior to joining UF, James held leadership roles at Queens University of Charlotte, where he served as Assistant Dean and Director of Student Services for the Presbyterian School of Nursing and later as Assistant Dean and Director of Operations for the College of Arts and Sciences.

James brings expertise in orientation and transition programming, higher education policy, and student identity development. His work focuses on building community, supporting student development and success, and crafting signature events that shape the student experience.

Outside of work, James enjoys spending time with his husband and their beloved pug, Mario.
